LTO-6 Archiving and LTO-6 Tape Cloning

LTO-6 tapes can hold 2.5TB of uncompressed data or 6.5TB if compressed, using a 2.5:1 compression ratio.

  • Up to 2.5TB uncompressed data per tape

  • Up to 6.5TB of compressed data per tape

 

LTO-7 Archiving and LTO-7 Tape Cloning

LTO-7 tapes can hold 6TB of uncompressed data or 15TB if compressed, using a 2.5:1 compression ratio.

  • Up to 15TB of compressed data per tape

 

LTO-8 Archiving and LTO-8 Tape Cloning

LTO-8 tapes can hold 12TB of uncompressed data or 30TB if compressed, using a 2.5:1 compression ratio.

Please note that we only keep LTO clones.
We will not be held responsible for data loss in any circumstances. The LTO Master should be safely stored elsewhere. In any unpredictable event where a tape stored in our facilities or it’s content may get damaged we will request the original Master LTO to be sent to us at our expense and will clone it as soon as possible and free of charge.
