Frame Rate Conversions
Unlike speed changes, frame rate conversions (sometimes referred to as standards conversions) offer the ability of changing the frame rate of a moving picture without interfering with its duration and without having to alter the audio pitch in any way.
We use the world renowned Alchemist XF by Green Valley which is acknowledged as the industry’s best at what it does. Not only that but we are proud to be very good at driving this amazing platform and able to push the Alchemist to it’s full potential.
Online Platforms & Screeners
Do you need to compress your master file or deliverable to upload it to an online platform whilst keeping the audio and picture to the highest quality possible? Leave it with us. We will ensure you get the ideal compression for the best presentation possible.
If on the other hand, the quality is not that important for a specific need, such as to serve as a reference file for audio work or for subtitling, then what you require is for it’s file size to be as small as possible. And yes, we do that too and will watermark it and/or burn in timecode if required, for no extra cost.
Blu-Ray & DVD screeners are also a great way to showcase your content. They are also of great benefit to have as a backup for an important screening/event.
Compliance Checks
Nowadays, most of the conformed digital content supplied to third parties go through a series of quality checks and validation tools. These measures are in place to ensure the material is compliant and within the requirements for acceptance.
Furthermore, with compliance checks such as the Harding FPA’s PSE test, you could also rest assured to have your content analysed and certified as being free of flashing images and patterns that could potentially harm viewers that suffer from photosensitive epilepsy.
Rushes & Transcodes
If you have raw footage that needs backing up then don’t leave it for tomorrow. The rule of thumb is that all footage should have at least two backups, that are stored in different locations, to ensure absolute safety, no matter what.
Our backup service will have your content safely transferred across. Using industry’s professional tools to ensure accuracy and reliability that a simple copy/paste often and regrettably fails to achieve.
If on the other hand, your backups have been dealt with and what you’re now after is to have proxies of your footage ready for offline edit then you came to the right place. We’ll have them all transcoded to your required specification and you’ll be pleased to know that with our batch transcode service comes an attractive bulk price to match.
Legacy Material. Tape Captures & Recordings.
If you own legacy content, it being analogue or digital formats and you’d like it to be brought up to date with current standards then we have a range of capture services that could suit your needs.
We also offer the reverse process, where we playout the content to tape, either for archive purposes or for very specific tape deliveries.
LTO Archive
Linear Tape Open (LTO) is a magnetic tape of large capacity used for data storage and widely used across the world by a multitude of industries to back up their data.
For the film and broadcast industries, it means that all those raw rushes, transcodes, projects, masters, reversions, clones, documents and everything else you would like to backup for safe keeping could be archived onto an LTO tape.
According to LTO manufacturers, the content on a tape should keep its integrity for anything between 15 and 30 years, depending on how often a LTO tape is loaded into a tape drive and how many back to back runs it does.
